“My house shall be called
a house of prayer for all peoples.”
Isaiah 56:7
This year, prayer will be the major focus in our ministry. Click here to read more. – in particular, intercessory prayer. While praying for the needs of others has always been a valued part of our congregational life, the goal this year will be to significantly deepen the role of prayer in both individual and corporate life so that it will become fundamental to all we do.
Have you ever asked yourself why God wanted his temple to be called a “house of prayer”? Even though there are many other important things that are done here, He did not call it a “house of preaching,” a “house of counseling,” a “house of evangelism,” a “house of fellowship,” or a “house of social action.” Why? I believe God wanted it called a house of prayer because everything else we do should begin with prayer and depend on prayer. Since this is the primary way we relate to God and draw upon Him, prayer must never be just a token effort, an after-thought, or a last resort. It must be front and center in the life of every Christian – and every church!

Weddings
Before any wedding plans can be made, all couples must first meet with one of our pastors and obtain their consent to perform the wedding. All couples will have pre-marital counseling sessions with the pastor; these take about six hours altogether. In cases where neither partner is Lutheran, the couple will also be required to take the Basic Belief Seminar (see below). For further details on wedding policy, download the weddings publication, fee schedule, and reservation form.
